Gyrpoc’s Drywall Screws are steel screws that go through the process of phosphating which aids in making the screw corrosion resistant; the phosphating process involves the application of a well-adhering layer of phosphate. British Gypsum’s 35mm Gyproc Drywall Screws can fix plaster linings up to 25mm thick to maximum 0.8mm gauge metal or timber frames and I-Studs less than 0.6mm gauge. To achieve the optimum acoustic and fire performance, the plasterboard linings must be fixed securely. The screws have self-tapping points which eliminates the need for drilled holes, as they cut their own hole when screwed into the desired material. This type of screw creates a tight friction fit between the threads to help prevent loosening caused by the vibration of drilling.
