Plasmor's Fibolite Blocks are lightweight load bearing blocks made with Plasmor's man-made expanded clay. Plasmor's expanded clay nodules are produced using sophisticated pyrogenic technology whereby geochemically specific clay is expanded at a high temperature in a rotary kiln. The clay nodules are an extremely lightweight granule with a hard vitrified shell and an air filled honeycomb interior.
Due to the process that the blocks go through during manufacturing, the blocks are extremely lightweight, making them easy to lift and lay with only one hand. With an excellent thermal efficiency value, these blocks provide an ideal key for render/plaster, and accepts fixings readily. Fibolite blocks are especially suitable for houses building extensions, repairs and maintenance, and refurbishment projects.
