Thermalite Trenchblock is tried and tested, economical alternative to the construction of cavity walls with concrete infill, engineering bricks or heavy aggregate blocks for foundations. Thermalite blocks have a closed micro-cellular structure featuring small pockets of trapped air. The block's internal structure results in high compressive strength, high thermal and sound insulation, fire and moisture resistance, and also aids in making the blocks light and easy to handle. Thermalite's thermal insulation properties make U-Value targets easier to achieve and helps to reduce the building's carbon dioxide emissions.
