MDF (medium density fibreboard) is a type of artificial wood sheet material that is manufactured by bonding wood fibres with wax and resin at a high temperature and pressure to create the panels. Similar to plywood and blockboard, MDF has several applications including flooring, roofing and cabinetry. This type of MDF is moisture-resistant and therefore suitable for internal applications where occasional wetting or humidity is a problem.
