White rock salt is what is known as a marine salt which is created from the evaporation of sea water and yields close to 99.9% sodium chloride. The salt is ideal for de-icing purposes as well as preventing the build-up of snow and ice on driveways, roads and paths. When mixed with sand, white rock salt can improve vehicle traction in slippery conditions.
